EXHIBITION: Alex Katz and Edward Ruscha

Opening Reception:
Thursday 15 February

Gallery - 6:30 pm

Two of America's most influential contemporary painters, Alex Katz and Edward Ruscha, will show together for the first time at the American Academy in Rome. The exhibition will include a selection of the artists' recent works, as well as two new paintings never before exhibited. The two artists could be said to represent the artistic sensibilites of the American coasts, East and West: while Katz's work is influenced by and representative of an urban, cool New York attitude, Ruscha's work clearly shows the effect and mark of Hollywood and Southern California.

An illustrated, bilingual catalogue will be available.

Gallery Hours:
Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 1 pm and 2 pm - 7 pm
Saturday and Sunday, 11 am - 6 pm
