EXHIBITION: Michael Mazur
L'Inferno di Dante: Opere Grafiche 1992-2000

Gallery - 6:30 pm

Printmaker Michael Mazur and America's Poet Laureate (1997-2000), Robert Pinsky, worked closely together on this dramatic series of aquatints and etchings, which were made during the period when Pinsky was working on his translation of Dante's Inferno. The exhibition, previously held at the Museo di Castelvecchio in Verona, includes a video illustrating Mazur's mastery in both media and shows all the prints alongside the relevant cantos, both in the original Italian and from Pinsky's recent, award-winning translation into English.

An Electa catalogue is available. Exhibit closes January 21, 2001.
