Archaeologist Nancy Bookidis will speak about her explorations at the sanctuary of the goddesses Demeter and Kore (Persephone) on the slopes of the acropolis of ancient Corinth, a sanctuary occupied from the Bronze Age until late Roman times; the site includes sacred dining rooms, cooking and bathing facilities and other religious structures.
