CONFERENCE - Giordano Bruno: Philosopher of Nola

Conference sponsored by the American Academy in Rome, the Comune di Nola and the Central European University, Budapest

15 February 2002, 3:30 pm- 6:30 pm

The conference honors the inauguration of Alexander Polzin's statue of Giordano Bruno to be installed in the city of Nola on February 17, the anniversary of Bruno's death at the stake in Rome.

Invited participants include: composer Gyorgy Kurtag, sculptor Alexander Polzin, Rector of the Central European University, Yehuda Elkana, and scholars Juergen Renn, Paul Richard Blum, Horst Bredekamp, Hilary Gatti, Lars Berggren, Hans Belting, Elmar Zorn and Ingrid Rowland.
