EXHIBITION - Chuck Close: Ritratti

Gallery - 6:30 pm
Thursday 21 February

The exhibition includes some 30 portrait prints, including self-portraits, that span the whole of Chuck Close's career and a wide range of media, from etchings and wood cuts to lithographs and screen prints. Close regards printmaking as an opportunity to expand his artistic vision and the so-called "heads" showcase his exhaustive approach to printmaking, demonstrating his mastery of traditional and invented techniques. This is the first solo exhibition of the artist's work in Italy.

A bi-lingual brochure will be published by the American Academy in Rome.

The exhibition will remain open until April 21, Tuesday through Friday from 11 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm and Monday closed.
