EXHIBITION: Mesopotamia: Art, material culture and the nearness of the East

The exhibition contains works by Alighiero Boetti, Gino de Dominicis, and Shirin Neshat, as well as selections from the collection of the Academy's Library, Photographic Archive, and private collections, including textiles. It is an exhibition about traditions of scholarship, photographic research, and artistic inquiry above and beyond politics. Curated by Cornelia Lauf with the collaboration of Ingrid Rowland.

NOTE: The exhibit will open on Thursdays from 4pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 3pm to 7pm until November 15, 2002.
