LECTURE: Gareth Schmeling, Guardians of the Text: Editors and Critics

Monday 5 May
Lecture Room - 6pm

Gareth Schmeling, FAAR'78, is Professor of Classics at the University of Florida.

The high visibility of literary critics can overshadow the work of editors of texts, who at times are as responsible for the final product as authors themselves. Examples will be drawn from Horace to F. Scott Fitzgerald.
