Rome's main airport is Leonardo da Vinci Airport or Fiumicino (FCO). The airport handles international and domestic flights to and from Rome. From Fiumicino, a taxi fare is roughly €40 to the Academy. You also pay a fee of €1.5 (about $1.90) for every suitcase. Look for white licensed taxis immediately outside the terminals with the “Comune di Roma” emblem for the flat rate. Private taxis charge more.

There are trains from the airport that go to Stazione di Trastevere and Stazione Termini. To arrive at the Academy, the best station is Trastevere. From FCO, take the train to Orte (It may also say Stazione Tiburtina. Either is good.) This trip will take about 23 minutes and cost about €8. Trains run from 5.57am until 11.27pm.

Bus services from Rome Fiumicino Airport include the areas of Tiburtina, Roma Cornelia, Roma Magliana and Lepanto Metro station. To get to central Rome, a good bus option is the Cotral bus that takes you directly to Piazza dei Cinquecento. The Cotral bus stop is located opposite the arrivals area in Terminal 2.

Travel time to the Academy is 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic. Shuttle buses and limousines are also available.

There are two international airports in the New York City vicinity: John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Newark International Airport (EWR). New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA) serves domestic flights and is the closest airport to the New York office.

New York City is served by two major train stations. New York’s Penn Station at 34th Street and 7th Ave is the hub for all Long Island Rail Road, Amtrak, and New Jersey transit trains. Grand Central Station at 42nd and Lexington Ave is the hub for Metro North Railroad.

The closest subway trains to the New York office are the N, Q, and R trains at the 5th Avenue Station and the 4, 5, and 6 trains at the 59th Street / Lexington Avenue station. The New York office is a short walk on 60th street from these stations.

42nd Street Port Authority Terminal is the hub for major bus carriers including Greyhound. Bolt Bus also connects 34th Street Penn Station with major cities in the Northeast including Boston, Washington D.C., and Philadelphia.

New York City taxis are available at every airport, train, and bus station. The cost is a $45 flat fare from JFK plus the cost of tolls to any Manhattan location. The closest street corner to the New York office is 60th street and Fifth Ave.
