The second day of the two-day conference.

This two-day conference on inscribed religious dedications in the Greek, Roman, and Italic worlds from the archaic period to late antiquity will investigate the roles of dedicators, the contexts of dedication, and the religious, social, and economic purposes of the dedicated objects themselves. Organized by John Bodel (FAAR’83, Lucy Shoe Meritt Resident in Ancient Studies, American Academy in Rome; Professor of Classics and History, Brown University) and Mika Kajava (Director of the Institutum Romanum Finlandiae; Professor of Greek Language and Literature, University of Helsinki). Most papers in Italian, several in English.
