The invention of printing changed the cultural landscape of Europe. Nowhere was this more evident than in Rome. William J. Sheehan, C.S.B. (Director, Department of Printed Books, Vatican Library) will examine the effects of printing on learning, libraries, and the papacy and will show how it helped and accelerated the Renaissance and the Reformation.
