Eduard Kunz, a young Russian piano virtuoso presently living in England, has collected an impressive number of First Prizes in International Piano Competitions–the most recent in Sulmona and Pinerolo. He records regularly for the BBC. His program for the Academy will include Beethoven’s Waldstein Sonata, Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit, de Falla’s Fantasia Bética, three pieces from Rachmaninoff’s Moment Musical, as well as works by Scarlatti and Liszt.
