Michael Mewshaw is the author of nine novels and six books of non-fiction. His fiction includes the recently published Shelter from the Storm and Year of the Gun, which was set entirely in Rome and later made into a movie directed by John Frankenheimer and starring Sharon Stone. His memoir, Do I Owe You Something?, published to coincide with Shelter from the Storm, deals with, among other subjects, the years he spent in Rome. Mewshaw will read from Playing Away and Do I Owe You Something?.
