Susanna Moore is the author of My Old Sweetheart, published in 1983, which won the Sue Kauman Prize for First Fiction from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the PEN Hemingway Prize. The Whiteness of Bones was published in 1989; Sleeping Beauties in 1991; and In the Cut in 1995. A book of non-fiction, I Myself Have Seen It, was published in 2003, as was a novel, One Last Look. In the Cut was made into a film in 2003, directed by Jane Campion.
