EXHIBITION: Ketty La Rocca

Tuesday 3 February
Gallery - 6-8pm

Ketty La Rocca's art is little known outside of Italy and embraces political
activism, wide artistic experimentation and feminist protest. Ketty La Rocca (d.1976) worked as a visual poet making photocollages, drawing on mass media.

She explored the relationships between words, gestures and images in a multifaceted and highly experimental way, still vivid and compelling to today's
audiences. Much of her work was created in the context of 'Gruppo 70', a
Fluxus inspired, politically active collective that included artists, poets and
musicians.

The exhibition is curated by Elizabeth Janus.

The exhibit will be open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 4pm to 7pm and by appointment, tel: 06/5846459, from 5 February until 26 February 2004.
