Lecture Room This symposium will aim to better describe and compare the practices of professional scribes/sorcerers in the Imperial Period using the evidence of archaeology and epigraphy, especially the recently discovered Anna Perenna cache that adds greatly to knowledge of local Roman practices. The symposium is organized by Christopher A. Faraone (Chicago) and Marina Piranomonte (Rome).
