Summer Program in Roman Pottery
Dates to be determined. Check back soon.

Application Deadline
January 15, 2009

Eligibility
The program is intended for graduate students in archaeology, but qualified advanced undergraduate students and working archaeologists may also be considered. All else being equal, preference will be given to students at institutional members of the American Academy in Rome. Otherwise no restrictions, such as citizenship, apply. Six participants will be chosen.

Costs and Logistics
A fee of $3,000, which covers tuition and travel within Italy, must be paid to the Academy's office in New York by 15 May 2009. This amount does not cover the cost of transportation to and from Italy. Participants should be prepared to pay for additional meals, any travel not directly related to the program and other personal expenses such as laundry.

Participants will be accommodated near the AAR at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies, which will also house the participants in the AAR’s Classical Summer School. Meals will be provided Monday through Saturday: breakfast and dinner at the Center and lunch at the AAR. All costs will be the participants’ responsibility.
