The American Academy in Rome is delighted to host the sixth edition of The Bridge Book Award, which aims to unite Italian and American cultures and strengthen mutual understanding through literature. Held in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in New York and the Italian Federation of Writers (FUIS), the award ceremony will present to the public the 2021 Italian and American prize recipients, whose books will be translated into English and Italian, respectively.

The Academy has been a partner of The Bridge Book Award since its inception in 2015 and is honored to celebrate the winners of this year’s prestigious literary prize.

The event, to be held live at the American Academy in Rome and the Italian Cultural Institute in New York, will be simultaneously translated and broadcast in both Italian and English via YouTube at https://youtu.be/geWpVCOHerM.
