Rome Prize For over a century, the Rome Prize has supported innovative and cross-disciplinary work in the arts and humanities. Each year, the prize is awarded to about thirty artists and scholars who represent the highest standard of excellence.
Italian Fellowships AAR is offering three fellowships for Italian artists and scholars in 2024–25. Italian Fellows pursue their own projects and participate in the Academy’s collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
Affiliated Fellowships The Academy hosts recipients of fellowships awarded by educational and cultural organizations around the world, including the Council of American Overseas Research Centers, the Terra Foundation for American Art, and the University of Tennessee.
Visiting Artists & Scholars This program provides artists and scholars of all nationalities the opportunity to experience the intellectual and artistic freedom, interdisciplinary exchange, and innovation that characterizes Academy life.
June 16–July 19, 2024 Classical Summer School This five-week program is designed to provide participants with a well-founded understanding of the growth and development of the city of Rome through a careful study of material remains and literary sources. Read more
