In this talk, Jonathan Berger will describe his current efforts to express the fragility and ephemerality of life through an awareness of the interplay of sound and space.

Berger is the Elliott Carter Rome Prize Fellow in Musical Composition at the American Academy in Rome and the Denning Family Provostial Professor in the Department of Music at Stanford University.
