Rome Prize Ceremony
2026 Arthur and Janet C. Ross Rome Prize Ceremony
The American Academy in Rome will honor the 2026-27 Rome Prize and Italian Fellowship winners on Wednesday, April 22 during the Arthur and Janet C. Ross Rome Prize Ceremony. These highly competitive fellowships support advanced independent work and research in the arts and humanities.
The ceremony and conversation are free and open to the public; they will also be streamed online.
The Helen Frankenthaler Foundation generously supports Conversations/Conversazioni at the American Academy in Rome.
The Ceremony will also include a Conversations/Conversazioni on the theme of "conservation and the brain" featuring:
- Carol Mancusi-Ungaro, 2022 Fellow
- Daphna Shohamy, Director and CEO of the Zuckerman Institute, Columbia University
- Shahzia Sikander, visual artist
