Bryony Roberts – Projective Histories

Bryony Roberts is an architectural designer and scholar who designs transformations to historic buildings. She will discuss recent projects involving performance, string, and supergraphics, which have connected landmark buildings to contemporary audiences. Her presentation will address the political issues at stake in engaging existing architecture, and the challenge of broadening the methods and audiences for historic preservation.

Roberts is the Booth Family Rome Prize Fellow in Historic Preservation and Conservation at the American Academy in Rome and a visiting professor at the Oslo School of Architecture in Norway.
