Project description
Hajar Mehrani is working on a ten-minute, two-dimensional animated short film that explores how people in a society, especially women, struggle to find their true selves. In this film, she aims to create more empathy across generations in different parts of the world.
Biography
Originally from Iran but now based in Belgium, Hajar Mehrani is a filmmaker, storyboard artist, animator, and screenwriter. She has a master’s degree in animation and a BA in painting. Her work draws inspiration from folklore stories to depict the worlds and issues of women in special and innovative ways.
