Biography

Lorraine Wild is a graphic designer, educator, and design historian whose work has shaped the field of visual communication for more than four decades. She is the founder and principal of Green Dragon Office, a design studio specializing in publications and exhibition materials for artists, architects, and cultural institutions. Her clients have included the Getty, LACMA, SFMOMA, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and numerous independent artists and galleries. Known for her deeply collaborative and content-driven approach, Wild has played a significant role in redefining the relationship between design and contemporary art. 

Wild has taught graphic design at California Institute of the Arts since 1985 and remains a leading voice in design education. She serves as consulting creative director at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and is a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale. Wild earned her BFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art and her MFA from the Yale School of Art. In 2006, she received the AIGA Medal for lifetime achievement in design.
