Project title
Ennius and the Architecture of the Annales
Project description

The project I propose is the completion of a book manuscript on the fragments of Ennius’s Annales. The distinctive feature of my study is that it focuses on how our accounts of the nature of this text and of its place in literary history are liable to distortion through the types of selection and ideological or stylistic manipulation consciously or unconsciously effected by our sources.
