On In Love, a new record by Jefferson Friedman, FAAR 2004 and Craig Wedren will be released on 27 May. "On In Love is pop music from an as-yet-undiscovered planet and/or tells an alternate history from the moment violins went one way and guitars the other," the artists said about the project. video trailer

Americans in Rome: Music by Fellows of the American Academy in Rome is now available for download. Pianist Donald Berman was artistic director of this 2008 release that features works by 36 composers who won the Rome Prize between 1921 and 2000. The recording was sponsored by the SOF and AAR. The collection debuted in a series of concerts at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall in 2002. Award-winning soprano Hila Plitmann is featured on vocal selections. Plitmann has collaborated with other Academy composers, notably on the Mr. Tamourine Man Cycle by John Corigliano, RAAR 2008, for which she won a won a Grammy for Best Classical Vocal Performance in 2009.  An excerpt, "Blowin' in the Wind," can be heard here. In April John Eaton, FAAR 1962, RAAR 1975, was guest composer at Brooklyn College's annual electronic music festival. An hour-long concert featured live performances of his electronic music from the 1960’s and 70’s with Sharon Harms, Emily Mills Woodruff, Bonnie McAlvin and Nick Nelson, as well as a recording of his Concert Piece for Syn-Ket and Symphony Orchestra, and a video of a live performance he did on the Eaton-Moog Multiple-Touch-Sensitive Keyboards. Preceding the concert, Eaton gave a lecture with recordings of live electronic pieces on the very first performances he did on the Syn-Ket and Moog Synthesizer in the early 1960s. 

Land Collective, the firm of David Rubin, FAAR 2012 has won the competition to design Grand Junction Park in Westfield, Indiana. 

This year Jackie Saccoccio FAAR 2005, has had two shows in Italy, at Museo d'Arte Contemporanea, Villa Croce in Genoa, and "Portraits" at Brand New Gallery in Milan. Her work is currently showing at Eleven Rivington in New York (see SOF Events).
